Absolutely. Having said that, we used Paddy McGintys in Sauze more than anywhere, but there was nothing Irish about it apart from the name and the odd retro decor.
I don't remember the one in VT but that was 11 years ago now, and it certainly isn't "slopeside".

Frog & Roast Beef at the top of the town? Don't remember it being an Irish Bar just a pub style drinking spot.

NellyPS wrote:I read a great story about Germans and a gondola last year. Apologies if I have already told this one, but its good - so there were a couple of Germans pushing everyone to get to the front of the gondola queue, they get to the front, put their skis in the rack and just as the doors shut Mr Liftie takes the skis out and off they go up the mountain minus skis

The other words of advice are NOT to put a hole in your electronic lift pass so you can clip it in your jacket pocket. If you do it won't work at the gondola turnstile, the grumpy liftie shouts at you in his politest Sunday gruff and you proceed out of the side gate, back to the ticket office and to the back of the queue. Not a good move on a very busy Sunday. Someone  in our group did.
Sadly for me as some of you from our 'other' chat place know it'll be at least 365 sleeps before I go. :(

I'm off out for a 40 miler tomorrow morning. Great for leg strength and much less impact than running.

Our group had the Penkenbahn down to a fine art by the end of the week. As were a group of 12 we could spread ourselves into a wide line from the car entry point on the left curving across to the platform edge on the right. Mangaged a full house of 12 in our own gondola 90% of the time. Very selfish but added a bit of fun to the early morning queue.

Cost about £10 - 15 when OH hired in Switzerland. You could always buy one and then wear it all the time when you ski. )

Best thing to do would be go to the shop and try them all on.
If it helps I wear a Giro G10. Wear it all day (when skiing) v comfy, adjustable vents, fine adjustment on head sizing and recommended.
