Anyone on here driven to Geneva using the N roads?

We always drive, avoid Saturdays (can be a bit busy in school holidays) and don't find the autoroutes a problem. Never sure if using N roads is worth the saving.

You can't leave it alone can you.

Have a look on the webcams, not got time myself at the moment (on lunch break!) but i would guess they have. My nephew is working in Morzine this season and lives in the village. I know he's made a jump in his garden which they play on till the early hours!

Karen,
Seriously, don't worry about it. It really won't be an issue.

I reckon though that the squatty loos would have a full length door. We aren't that different form the people across the water you know. I bet they hate em too.

bandit wrote:Ally, I glad you enjoyed yourself, despite travel hiccups and the ever variable service of ESF.

There are plenty of English speaking independent Instructors and schools in the Tarentaise. It's high time you got away from the Syndicat, traditionally they have very little respect for their clients. You provide a fine example, because you did not get the lessons you paid for, which is appalling IMHO.

I've booked snowboard lessons in Samoens with an independent school at Easter. The only lessons ESF could offer were 2.15-4.45 pm which was too late in the day. Also, rather put off by previous comments about them.

Glad you had a good time although I could feel your stress on the 1st morning!

Pablo Escobar wrote:Very common in the Middle East. Even more confusing when there is no toilet paper and just a hose in its place

And in Mumbai airport holes in the floors, bad smells and a lady handing out toilet paper. Ugh!

And in the Italian ski resort it was very messy..someone had had a bad night and should've stayed in bed I reckon....

My daughter slipped and we had to throw her top away as I just couldn't look at it again...

Karen,

I must have been very lucky as the last time the hole in the floor loos were a problem in a ski resort for us was in Italy.

You do find them in France, but in my experience they've been few and far between, though in some public loos you actually get a choice between them and normal ones.
Seems some people must prefer them!

They are at the stops off the motorways, but easier to use if not in ski gear and if you stop at the service stations you are unlikely to find them.

Tony_H wrote:Ally, with the greatest respect, you have been skiing many times now, why are you still falling over so much in lessons?

You sound just like the annoying parent at the dry slope last night who kept on and on at his kid for falling over...

The instructor told the annoying parent that the kid was learning new stuff and it was to be expected.
