I took my other half away last march for the first time... he is 33, and over the year he appears to have got better (without any more than 6 days skiing).. is this normal for a man??? lol

He has "announced" today, that he will be a ski instuctor and we wil take a career break and settle in the alps foy a 5 month perod !!

He does get like this wich is why I guess I love hime, but he has made me post this.

HE wants to know how to be a qualified instructer through the quickest available route (I hate to say it, but he is a bit of a blooming natural!!)

any info will be great - and give him a project to get on with.zzzzzzzzzz.

It's never too late... you will wonder why it took you so long and be desperate to make up for lost time over the coming years :D

Use your first trip to learn as much as you can... not just the actual skiing, but all the other bits you have been unsure about organising passes, travel etc. You will then be more confident in arranging everything seperately and saving yourself a lot of money in the future.

Les Arcs??

Les Arcs is great, i am off to La Plagne on friday and was hoping for a day visit over so its a shame that the express has closed.

I was in les arcs last year and I wished I stayed in 1950 rather than 1800. 1950 is a lot prettier generally.

1800 is a bit bleak but there are still enough bars to enjoy a drink. Found most people scurry back to their self catered chalets after a couple of apres drinks and then come out later for the night when it really livens up.

Some good live music can be found usually starting around 9pm. Look out at the posters.

There are some great runs, some nice easy red and some tasty difficult blacks. The snow park was well maintained when i was there.

Wherever you stay, you should have a great skiing definately.

What was the condition lower down at La Plagne when you left?
