ooh.. sounds like another class follower for Pavel!

Gareth - I think Pavel has closed the door on his ski tuning class this year but you can still read the lessons although not the PM's and these can be quite informative. If all else fails somewhere like Ellis Brigham will do them for £30ish

I think that probably sums it up best.

Gloves are a must though for the drunken sno-ball fight on the way home!!!!!!!

You can always find good quality branded fleeces too, although its harder to find base layers or thermals. I tend to use www.skiwear4less.com for those.

Now you see.... this just goes to show the importance of being patient and keep going back to TK Maxx. Just bought Helly Hansen Lifa base layer top and pants for £19.99 Bargain, these are going for that price on ebay just for the top!!!! So it just goes to show what you can find, of course skiwear4less.com is also great and I've just bought a Blizzard base layer for £8+p+p 8)

Catered or Self Catering

i have only done self catered the once, on any holiday be it winter or summer and for me, you save all year to pay for these holidays and the last thing I want to be doing after a hard day on the slopes followed by half a dozen Edelweiss in the bar is cooking. But this is not everyone's bag. In your case I would go for the self catered option and eat out in resort, at least you then have the benefit of the pool and wellness suite.

Good luck with your search and enjoy the trip.
