I think with such a mixed experience at Turin (mine last year was pretty bad) with some quite poor and others clean, straightforward and simple it just points to the hit and miss that is an airport...

My favourite is Chambery - never had a problem but others hate the place.

Had good experiences at Geneva and pretty bad ones.

Probably the same at departure airports as well.

Sounds like we all have our favourites but there can be problems and delays pretty much anywhere.

Sorry, can't help with the apres ski as I only left my hotel once while there last year but you may find this of interest ....

Mid to late April skiing is getting very iffy anywhere without some serious altitude.
