You could explore using a helmet with a visor. I moved to one of these a few years ago and really like them.
Ski lessons in the UK

In my view it all depends on how much time you have and how much effort you can put in before your trip.
I think going along for a private lesson simply to get an idea what a boot should feel like, how to handle skis, put them on take them off and carry them could be very helpful before your first ski trip.
You won't get anywhere near a standard where no lessons on holiday would be needed on a dry slope or in a snowdome. It is so, so different.
But; if you have time for quite a few lessons before your trip this can push you up the ranking for lessons. By this I mean not joining the absolute never put a ski on group but jumping up to week 2 group for example.
Hope this helps.
Dolomites to require Covid Cert

Lift operators are missing a trick here surely?
Couldn't the lift pass scanners be set up to simply register the microchip that was implanted with the vaccine, and then we can scan our arm for both lift pass and vaccination status?
Job done .....
All a bit of a wotsit really.
Main problem is how to maintain any motivation to get the knees and legs working again when I may not be able to use them next year.
Done it - pretty good survey in my view
It looked more like a multi story car park than a lift station!
Think this was partially built in January
Covid 19 - should I travel?

I am thankful that skiing this year was just one January trip!
Wanderer - just some of the thinking we went through before cancelling a trip to Venice next week.
(before the recent lockdown, when it was still possible to travel)
4 of us, some concerns health wise but not enough to not travel. Quite liked the idea of going when there were likely to be fewer tourists. Umm-ing and err-ing about what to do.
The clincher for us (and everyone is different) came down to the potential need to isolate upon return. Fairly simple, just a nuisance, for 2 of us but potentially problematic for the other two.
That was the deciding factor when we decided not to go. The danger not so much of becoming ill but of having to adjust life upon return.
