You mean that DOESN'T work  Reminds me of a chap who I met whilst on holiday back in January, turned up for the first day of ski school having never skied in his life with brand new everything, full Spyder outfit, top of the range skis and boots, couldn't ski to save his life because his top of the range boots were too stiff and his top of the range skis were too aggresive  |

Poor Americans, as if it hasn't been hard enough having to contend with George 'Dubya' Bush for the last 7 odd years, having Gordon Brown thrusted upon you (get used to it, we've had to!) is just as bad, actually probably worse as he's Scottish too :D Don't worry, we will inform the rest of the world and I am positive they will view this act as punishment enough to atone for all previous sins :P

SERJOE - I haven't been there, I was simply offering advice, a big reason why people post on this forum.
To be honest I would not expect bad reviews to be found on the website of a Bulgarian Travel Agents, which is what Bulgariaski.com are. i am guessing from your post that you aren't English, possibly you are from Bulgaria yourself? I'm sure that given time and proper investment Bulgaria's ski areas will improve but until that happens, both on slope and off it I think I would rather pay a little more and go for a more tourist friendly ski area, such as Austria. After all, you get what you pay for in this life and I'm sure there is a very good reason why Bulgaria is as cheap as it is. |

I'm afraid after extensive research the only advice I can give is...DON'T. Seriously I spent ages trawling through endless reviews online as we were considering Bansko as our 2nd ski hol in 2008 and whilst you expect to have the odd duff review nothing could prepare for the sheer volume of duff reviews, if the place is half as bad as the reviews then I'd rather ski in Austria anytime, but that's just me, I'm sure you've done your own research before booking. If you do go it would be interesting to gauge your thoughts. |

great analogy, I think the film you refer to is Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner, from memory though the 'older' players that came were in fact 'ghosts' so older as in dead :!: I'm not certain but I'd guess that Jan would prefer guest of the 'alive' variety as they tend to be able to pay their way. Jan - all the best I'm sure it will be a great success and I envy you tremendously (note to self, keep pestering wife to move to Austria.... ) |

Sebby - You are right, we are ALL on the same side - SKIING :!: :!:
Still think it's ok to take your kids out of school though, but it's a free world and diverse opinions(even strange ones like yours) make it an interesting place  |
