Could driving be an option? Not sure where you are in the UK, but Meribel is not too difficult once you get to France. I would estimate about 10 hours with a family and taking it easy on the Autoroute.
You could also do an overnight stop if you prefer to break the driving, in which case I would skip the French Autoroutes and save 150 euro (return costs) in tolls. |

I just got up with a raging hangover, and funnily enough, I was thinking exactly the same thing as I was cleaning my teeth :shock: I think the toothpaste reminded me of snow :twisted: |

Well, I reckon it's time they got rid of the trains and tarmacked the tunnels. They are only 31 miles long, so even if they restricted you to 60mph you would be through quicker than the trains. Just charge a fixed fee of say £10 to use it and you will see the end of ferries.
Imagine the fun you could have with a V8 or V12 :twisted: |
