Lucky man Stevie999 :(

I still have 139 days till we go to Tignes
:( I would hope you are willing to negotiate on the price, my first google result turned up a brand new Ride Promise 148cm Ladies Snowboard at almost the same price as you, but with free delivery. Plus it would be a purchase from a shop.

Welcome to the forum :!:
Have to agree with the above comments Danieltowersey, I am sure there will be some people who have had a result when buying boots online, but generally I would discourage it.

At best bad fitting boots will be a major discomfort to you, at worst it will be a living nightmare and could totally ruin your holiday. I strongly advise you seek a good boot fitter and have the correct boots for you, fitted properly. They should then give you many weeks of enjoyable use, and the only worry you will then have is which skis you want to buy

Welcome to the forum.
It will come Chemmy, it will come.

I am not going to sit here and tell you to be patient, because I do not believe that is your way. Just do not let yourself get downhearted on the long journey back, the rewards at the end will make up for all those dark time, of this I am certain.

Porkpie, if you have already been to PDS, then I would strongly suggest that you try the 3V. At least you will then be able to make your own mind up about where you prefer or would like to go back to. The 3V should not disappoint you in terms of skiing, but until you go, you will not know whether you prefer the villages of PDS or the more modern (mainly but not all) resorts of the 3V.

Your next and biggest problem is going to be deciding where to actually stay in the 3V  For that question, you will get many varied and valid answers.

Motorway skiing usually means big wide open well groomed easy pistes. In many resorts it is possible to ski all over the place without leaving these types pistes, hence the likening to motorways.
