Erm, sort of. Still ongoing really, been discharged from Physio and need to do some more work before the winter, but definitely MUCH better thank you :)

The last time I used a chairlift it stopped for approximately half an hour with everyone freezing to death on it whilst I was strapped to a blood wagon and dragged off the mountain. Sorry about that.

What's it like? Saw it from a distance whilst hobbling around on crutches the last time I was there but found somewhere we would like to stay in that part of La Plagne.
From what I can see online it looks like it's hire shops and no much else, but is it walking distance to any bars? Not major nightlife, just somewhere that sells beer. I'm not fussy. |

Hellooooooooooooo!!!!!! It's been SO long since I've been on here I've forgotten who everyone is. Anyhoo, we were going to go to Val D, but have decided that since my last unsuccessful trip to La Plagne didn't result in much skiing, we're going back to finish it off :)

Looking good Ranchero. Did you choose to have lessons to get back into skiing following the surgery? Did it help? I think I may have a lesson when I go back. I've decided not to ski at all this year, Mr Nelly is gutted but we're going to Rome instead :)
I have a bit of a problem with some knee pain at the moment so the physios are reluctant to progress me on until they know why it's hurting. I wouldn't be confident enough to ski at the moment anyway, I struggle to go around a corner with a supermarket trolley which is my guide to how my knee is holding up (bit random I know). It's great to see people recovering from knee injuries though. One of the blokes at my ACL class has had his ACL done twice (it snapped after 9 months) and he's been told he'll never play football again. Only a young guy too. I know it will take time, but this time next year I shall have legs like Chemmy and be chomping at the bit to get skiing :) |

One of the girls that I go to Physio with has problems with arthritis which is hampering her recovery but she's told me that someone she knows has had some kind of injection that helps to cushion the joint suffering from arthritis, it's something that would need to be done privately (I think she said it was about £400 and will last a year), so she's considering that to help her along. Would Mrs BB be willing to try something like that? |

Good news Ranchero!
Sadly I'm not going to be able to ski this winter, I still have a lot of work to do, I can't even run at the moment so skiing is out of the question. I've just invested in a balance board, am swimming, doing yoga and will be back to Physio and the gym next week. We'll have a week away in March so Mr Nelly can have a ski, but I shall be swimming, walking and propping up the bar :) |

Thanks :) I'd rather take a year off than completely ruin my knee and never ski again. We'll go somewhere, I'll keep you informed :) |
