United States of Europe that what we may aswell be known as from now on.
Forget the british spanish, dutch royal families as I believe they will all become insignificant now that we have this EU position.
Individual countries control has now been reduced to zero if you are in the EU.
I think I need to emigrate to somewhere that doesnt fall into this remit.
In line with this forum, Switzerland sounds a good place!!

It's not very easy to get in there, I've tried 8)

Me too had three interviews for Cern but the buggers just wont have me. Do you think Reasons for wanting the job were headed by "Im only and Hour from the best skiing in the world" probably was not the best reason. :)
My experiences are similar to the other guys I have two pairs of the same good quality ski sock and they are the only ones i use.
Many trips of trial and error. :)

I have brought my self small boot warmers (about £20)which are the best thing i have ever brought.
Not only do they dry out any water from worn front seal and sweat (although im really lucky on that front and dont really suffer with sweaty feet) but they also mean my feet slide into them reasonably easy.
Many a comedy sketch has unfolded with me hopping around car parks swearing and trying to get my feet in cold boots trying to avoid stepping in snow/puddles or fall against dirty cars.
If you have damp boots your feet will get cold no matter how good your socks are.
Try a little test see if you feet are warm for the first couple of days and get colder towards the middle of the week. If so bet its moisture in your boot.

If they are really cold not a hope in hell of getting them in too painfull.

Finally even though i have had my boots proffesionally fitted by Pro Feet I still need to do a cruise run on a blue or green first thing to warm up my feet. If I go straight into a steep,Bumpy or icy run then i get cramp all day. Easy run first and bliss all day. Boots are a funny thing its about trial and error and seeing what works for you.

With regards to tightness no tighter than you need them I have the top two and power strap reasonably tight and the bottom 2 just about tight as your feet warm up they will expand into the boot anyway now i have my setting i stick with it if i change it then problems.
Hi im going out to the three valleys on the 19th/20th of Dec to host a trip and I am considering taking my car.
Is there anybody who fancies riding shotgun?

Best on piste would either be the swiss wall in portes du solei or the hanenkahm (one week after the race and fresh powder = icy powder nightmare!)

The Grand Colouir is a piece of P*** once your actually on it its the 10 meters skiing along the ridge line to get to it that concentrates the mind. :)
Once you go there is no stoping and no turning back. lol

If you put a lump of coal up your bum you have a Diamond by the time you get to the Coulouir. :)

Just realised my Avatar is me comming out of the bottom of the Grand Colouir.

Bars and Restaurants in Soldeu

Hi You will have a fantastic time in Soldeu.
Lots of good Bars and nearly all the resturants are good cant really think of a bad one and I have eaten in all of them during my season there. I would suggest always booking though as they get very busy.
If your in the Sport I would imagine your half board?

Gondola is right oposite the Sport so you should be fine.
Pub in the Lift station(The Villager) is probbaly the worst one to use as its one of those really fake style with bad service.

Fat Alberts is usually best for Apres Ski and has a good resturant underneath.

Aspen is quite lively its the one most of the Locals use (Instructors etc) has pool tables upstairs and has major spot events on.

Both Fat Alberts and Aspen have live music most nights.
The Avalanche was always a good evening but I believe its shut down now.
T-Bar where the Snowboarders hang out is a nice little bar.

Further down the road towards Tarter the Roc is worth a look when they have live music, alos Borda del Rector Catalan food really nice and further into El Tarter the Llop Gris is good for a nice meal and a must is the Hotel Alba resturant run by a guy called piers. They will collect you and drop you back to Soldeau if you book.
Just ask in the Aspen and they can usually call and arrange this.
For Lunch times if your meeting a non skier i would ski down or lift down to the resturant just down from the Station you can see it to the left as you come down think its called the Sol I Neu. Nice outside terrace on a warm day. Good food.Other than that there is a nice one over towards Grau Roig by the frozen lake.
Im sure you will have a great time and good choice for large mixed group.
