Can anyone recommend something for putting easily over the bottom of ski boots to make it easier to walk up/down icy paths. Ideally I want something easy to put on/off and which fits into a pocket. I have looked on the internet, but would be interested in hearing from someone who actually uses such aids - even if it is only to guide me what NOT to buy!
Many thanks. |

AdH is a brilliant place for beginners or near beginners to gain confidence as it has a central bowl with drag lifts and green runs. If you are ok on chair lifts, there is a somewhat hairy one called Alpauris which is worth doing to get over to Auris-en-Oisans where there are some excellent greens and blues.
One tip I would offer, is to take some Compeed blister plasters with you so that if your hire boots rub on the first day, you can sort out potential blisters straightaway! |

I rather impulsively ordered a Roxy jacket online and it arrived this morning, so no need for anyone to let me know about Gapton Hall. We also rather impulsively booked a ski holiday yesterday to Lech on 7th December. Am I feeling rather smug - I think I am

Does anyone know if the Gapton Hall, Great Yarmouth TKMaxx and/or Sports Direct have got their skiwear - particularly ladies' jackets - in-store yet? I think I should have a new jacket this season, but would rather try them on first. Don't really want to drive all that way if they have either no or limited stock at the moment.

This would make an ideal (and much cheaper than usual) beach hut here on the seafront in Southwold. I am sure no-one would notice if added one overnight?

I seem to remember that you were staying in the Hotel Olymp?
Did you visit the Nederhutte for the apres ski? |

Talking of which, is the 'singing' marmotte still in the loo at the Peyra Juana in Monetier? |
