Just come off the slopes at Ischgl as it is poor vis due to snow falling. Good skiing yesterday as we could see where we were going! Runs to resort not open yet.

We have just had an update from our TO and it looks like we are off to Ischgl on Sunday instead of Lech.

Schladming might be worth researching. Short transfer from Salzburg and a variety of shops, cafes, etc in the main town. Nursery slopes of Rohrmoos would be easy for you to meet up and fairly good bus links for the 4 main areas. Haven't skied there for a few years though so perhaps there is someone here who has been more recently?

I was in the Lowestoft Lidl yesterday - also packed with ski gear. Also things like hand warmers for sale. Great range of gear for children.

Another option from Zurich is the Arlberg Express coach to St. Anton or Lech.
