Forgive my ignorance but why doesn't he come to a halt on the tarmac bits?

Whenever I've hit a bit of road on a bald patch of run low down to Village (Kitz Horn I'm looking at you!) I've stopped dead?

No doubt I'm doing it all wrong.....

Kitzbuhel is only around 130km from Munich

Its a lovely town with lots to do off the slopes as well as a good range of reds and blues and so meets all of your criteris

EXCEPT

Kitz is not very high so snow at Christmas may be in short supply - that said Austria had the best of the early season snow last year so you never can tell

"follow me down here then"

10 mins of terror later.....

"was that Black???? - we've never done black before"

"I'd say it was more deep purple than black - and you were ready, you're not dead are you!? - trust me I'm a Ski Instructor"

There's also the fact that, in general terms, my mate Ted and me can "get down" pretty much anything, albeit with little or no style. However put us near a ski instructor and we're garbage and fall over on deceptively flat and unimpeding bits....
Val Thorens "Cheap" Beer

Was in VT in January and never paid 7 Euros a pint (never have done in the times I've been there)

Saloon bar (which is now on two levels into what was the Viking beneath it) has happy hours but is still not expensive even at full lick

I'd agree on the Frog though - expensive and stinks....
