Sorry RandyRat (love the name!!!), I have hijacked your thread idea!
Off to VT in January and a bit scared by the price of apres ski beer. I wont be going out at night and dancing the night away (got to get my sleep!!). However, I would like a few beers after a hard day to chat about the day and convince everyone that I did this, that and the other....
I am sure I can easily pay €8 or €9 a pint, but there must be somewhere that I can go that I can have more than a couple of beers and not be wiped out (not the type on the slopes)
Or am I hoping for something that is never going to happen?

7 euros a pint in VT matey. Thats about as good as it gets.
I'd avoid the Frog and Roastbeef unless you like the smell of bottoms.

Leeberty "nightclub" in the basement of the Carlines block, Bruyeres, Les Menuires, had a two hour happy hour last time I was there...three euros a pint (half normal price). Didn't go last year, so this may be out of date info...unless someone can confirm?

Was in VT in January and never paid 7 Euros a pint (never have done in the times I've been there)
Saloon bar (which is now on two levels into what was the Viking beneath it) has happy hours but is still not expensive even at full lick
I'd agree on the Frog though - expensive and stinks....

There was an Irish Bar below Chamois D'or apartments which was reasonable and the bars near the resort centre all had happy hours for local beer at 5 euro! This was last year though!
