I've read somewhere, can't remember where now, that it's sometime in January?

Have you thought about public transport - altibus, transisere and the like?

We won flights to Geneva and wanted to join friends in LDA. We caught a bus from Geneva to Grenoble, then one to LDA that went via Bourg. Okay, it was a bit longer than a private transfer but we saw some of the countryside and it soon passed.

I have the Livefit 90s women's model from last year, really pleased with them, think they are still available this season. Think they were in the region of about £260 ish, maybe a little bit more, can't quite remember.

Have just booked with BASS (British Alpine Ski School) in VDI/Tignes, quite reasonable prices for small group lessons over 3 days,which is exactly what I was looking for...do other durations and private lessons too...

There's a series on Quest at the monment, Sunday 9pm, about Alta in the US and the guys that control the avalanches, forecast the weather, keep the roads open etc. Been on a couple of weeks already but worth a watch if only to marvel about how much of the white stuff can fall in a day!

8 Euros isn't so bad, we were paying around 7 in LDA last year for a baguette and a coke.

Hi guys

Well, just over 2 weeks and counting...wondered if anyone hd any suggestions about reasonably priced places to stop for lunch?

I'm only thinking of a sandwich/baguette/burger type meal, nothing fancy, and I'm not averse to cpming down back into town - we've done this for last 2 years in LDA and it doesn't bother me.

I'm having morning lessons whilst I'm there, but no idea where we'll end up so can't be any more specific about areas or anything, but if anyone can suggest anywhere, much appreciated.
