I can understand booking a late deal after a heavy dump, but I dont think I'd ever risk making an advanced booking and hoping for the best.
Pick a resort high up in the Alps if you're worried about no snow.

but surely with global warming alot of places are a risk. look at last season. As for andorra i just hope something changes soon.

given the choice where would you book in advance ? since the heavy snow in th alps it seems prices have really stepped up. i for one really cant decide whwere to go.

Dear god tony when were these pictures taken ? this is about my worst nightmare. reading the above posts i was about ready to book now im back to square one.

im really surprised those runs are even open. have never seen such bad conditions.

think im going to just wait until the very last minute. the only issue is im very confined by the fact i can only fly on 4th march. 3rd is a wedding and im back to work on the 12th......

My buddy is instructing out there and reports conditions as, 'not great' at the moment.

I've been out the last two years in early February and it has dumped both times so I'm confident the snow will arrive.

No point in worrying, Que Sera and all that!!

We've been Jan & Feb the last 2 years .There always seems to a lot more snow fall mid Feb-March ,this is why we had picked begining of March

Good luck

this was kinda my thinking. looking at the previius 5 years there has been a big dump towarss the end of feb every year. fingers crossed for you. as for me reckon i am just going to wait. the money isnt as important as the snow. i am not going through what we did last year in bulgaria. bare runs . big slabs of ice and horid old snow. fingers crossed.

I also went to Bulgaria,Borovets last year as well as Andorra. We went to Boro 15th jan but luckily there was a small dump just before we went the temps were 12-16+ most days thou.In Andorra early feb we had no snow whist we were there and Temps 14-18+ .By the end of the trip the grass was staring to show throu and some piste were just big ice rinks at the end of the day.But the lack of snow was a big is in the whole of europe from the tv news in andorra

i think you right on the whole last season was a bit of a shocker for everyone. i was in borovets on 2nd feb and it was shocking. half the runs were shut and the rest had rocks showing for the most part. hoping this season will be much better all over but i suppose with last year ringing in peoples ears a lot of people are reluctant to book before having some idea of what the conditions are going to be. it also seems that as of yet andorra hasnt benefitted from much snow. the alps seem a good bet right now with up to 4meters in some places. un thinkable really when you think back to last season.
