Accomodation in Andorra

Just bare in mind that Pal/Arinsal/Arcalis all operate on the "Val Nord" lift pass and are not at all close (On ski's) to the "Grand Valira" ski area. My advice would be to consider Soldeu or Pas de la Casa, Soldeu is next town along on the Grand Valira much more sightly but probo more expensive. About an hours ski away from Pas including lift times, quick pint etc..... ) But you could meet half way??

Agreed, Arcalis is well worth a trip - if there's snow! I went one day and Ice skates would have been more suitable! Catabatic Winds blew all the powder to the bottom and we were skiing on the base!

geneva by the way is THE most efficient airport i've ever been to. Literally outside 10 minutes after landing!

I did les carroz last march, I can see why people might call it traditional, i'd call it small and quiet and very french.

There are 2 places I would reccomend, L'agora restaurant - fantastic food and service (i fell in love with the waitress!) and the main bar on the corner opposite - fantastic cocktails, they really go to town!!

Skiing: links to several resorts, flaine is where most of the skiing is at, great views and a great variety of runs, try and do them all in a week, you'll struggle! Lift ques were never too bad either.

Only prob for me was french prices on the mountain, 2 bottles of fanta 500ml 11 euros. WHAT!!??

For a family hol i'd say - go go go!!

If it's the apres ski you're after - no no no!!

Think i've heard too much amy shitehouse??

I also can't wait to visit the place!! Only been to andorra x 2 and les carroz but I thought the locals were all really nice considering they have to put up with brits invading their towns 10 months of the year!!

fully catered chalet?

We're in an appartment, food won't cost much more than £30, it's the drinking that's gonna cripple me!!

Anyone going or anyone been??

Going 20th March for the first time. Looks fantastic. Let me know what you think of the place. I am stopping in Chantmerle, what about you?

Villeneuve,

got an absolute scorcher of a bargain with Neilson. My dad's been before and said he wouldn't think twice about returning!! Looks like there's gonna be some snow out there! Get 1 days skiing in les deux alpes or alpes d'huez included in the pass!

Will no doubt upload some teasing photo's upon our return!
