Ski Helmets with Goggles
Started by User in Ski Hardware, 4 Replies
Goggles that have a 'rubberised' inside to the strap are also quite useful. It grips the helmet a little and stops them sliding off the helmet when not worn on the face. Unfortunately mine doesn't have this strip so quite often they'll ping off.
goggles or glasses

The last few holidays I've worn goggles the whole time. On one run on the last trip I still had my Oakley sun glasses on from a late lunch and couldn't see a darned thing - my eyes were streaming. It's odd because I always used to ski in sun glasses. Not sure what point I'm trying to make here but there you go.

I am glad the snow conditions are still good in Sauze and I hope they remain the same or better as I am flying out on 24th with some people from a Deeping, that small town in Cambridge!!!!!

Am really looking forward to it as it is the first time I have been for many years.
I heard. Out there with Messers Tony_H and Skiddadle. Well you should have a laugh at the very least.

A quick tip for the Hotel Sauze: The ski room is very poor (if you stay out for a drink or two after skiing then you'll struggle to find some space) so bring them up to your room and stand them to dry in the bidet. After all, what else are you going to use it for!

It's one of those catch twenty two things I should imagine. You can't get the ski sponsor to spend the dosh until you get the results and you can't get the results until the ski sponsor spends the dosh.

Kelly Vanderbeek who came second at the weekend was also on Volkl skis so it shows the skis can be made to work well. Chemmy did look very gutted in the finish area and was getting a lot of hugs and commiserations form the American and Canadian girls. They all said she skied well, she just didn't have the speed.

Perhaps we should start a 'get Chemmy some decent planks' fund!

Possibly. You won't see an Austrian race on Eurosport because of them.

I've always used a pair of Ron Hill running/cycling bottoms that I had before I started skiing. Never had a problem with them. Even when it's warm they're useful to stop the salopetes feeling clammy on the inside.

And Michaela Dorfmeister - surely the most unattractive female on telly/skis/both.

Trying desperately not to keep name dropping but it was quite humerous watching Nick Fellows keep 'losing' Dorfy at the weekend as she kept stopping to chat to her old mates. He was looking a little annoyed!
