My very first ski trip way back in ..well quite a while ago. I loved it, totally hooked. Good teacher helped. I thought the resort was good for my skill level.

You need goggles for when it is snowing. Some folk wear goggles all the time. However, when the sun is shining, you need good quality sun glasses, or else you run the risk of getting really sore eyes.
I note this is your first ski trip, so reckon speed is unlikely to be a factor. As you speed up, cold air whips behind the glasses, and may cause tears, that block your vision. For this reason, try and get wrap round sunglasses.
Yes I know there are other things that cause tears on your first ski trip.......

Hi
I have to disagree (sorry).
Goggles all the way for me.
Also, depending on how much money you spend, they can also protect your eyes. They offer much better vision too IMHO.
They will also be more robust than sun glasses, so less likely to break should you stack it

You are both wrong hilariously enough. Take both, carry both on you, try both! Whatever YOU prefer-use it. Is your father Roman?

Buy here, and if you are wearing a helmet make sure goggles and glasses fit with it. I'd buy here incase resort selection is limited-whats the budget?

If Roman was my father, he'd buy me the resort.
So how much should I pay for a half decent pair of goggles or glasses. :)
