I know, how exciting! Proper snow, altitude sickness and everything! Well maybe not the latter, although I did suffer with that once when I stayed in Tignes. Not nice.

Not sure if you are interested, but I was looking for "large" piste maps earlier, and found this fantastic map for Les Arcs and La Plagne. You may want to have a look.

Large Piste Map

I am going to have to research the company that produced that and see where else they do maps for. Top quality.

Great piste map, much more detailed than any other I've seen.

I'm so excited to be going somewhere big and high this winter. Last year did my spring skiing technic wonders.

Do they do decent pop on the ski train?

No idea, we take it with us.

Much cheaper to take a bottle or two of the red stuff, doesn't matter if it gets warm then.

We learnt a big lesson the first time we trained it, always take supplies.

Thanks, that sounds like a plan. Looking at the piste map today we both think La Plagne has more than enough for a week for us but we'd like to experience the VE and get to Les Arcs for a day so we'll get the pass that lets us do that.
Is it just me?

I certainly don't sleep on the train much, we take wine to pass the time and hope for a few hours sleep before being turfed off the train at some un-godly hour. And then we go skiing.
