Now that I've booked my holiday in Feb, I'm hell bent on finding out everything I can about the place.

I skied La Plagne about 12 years ago and all I remember from the holiday was someone telling me that they'd seen Keith Allen at a cash point machine.

I'm obviously doing my own research but would like to call upon anyone with extensive knowledge of the area for places that I might not find on the internet, like amazing never ending runs, fab mountain restaurants, a nice little bar, you know that kind of thing.

Thank you lovely people.

We stayed in Belle and loved it. My fav run was the Mont Blanc which goes on and on, about 60 piste markers if i recall.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

skied la Plagne last January and enjoyed it...the red run down to Champagny from Le Grande rochette was my favourite ..that side got the sun and the long runs down to montchavin through the trees were also excellent but cold in Jan ....lots of excellent piste skiing unless you are a real mileage freak I wouldn't get a full paradise ski pass I managed to do one day in Les arcs which is included on the middle ranking 6 day pass ...Nice runs down to Mont Albert as well threw the trees ,,you'll like it

Funny I read that the other day about not getting the whole area pass, knowing what me and Mr Nelly are like we won't make it to Les Arcs unless there's a bus and we can ski back. Still considering that for now.

Not sure i understand that?
No way would you get a bus.....it would be a lengthy trip and a waste of time.
From 1800 to the VE isn't that far maybe an hour. You could get the discovery pass and have half a day in Vallandry just to say you have ridden the VE.

This is why it's good to do research before going, people can stop you from making ridiculous decisions.

At the moment I really don't know the area, even though I 'goated' there years ago, I really do not remember anything about it. I don't think it was even linked with Les Arcs then, so decidimg whether to get the full area pass is something to consider, although I think its only about £50 more, and I would like to go on the VE.
