Hey look at it this way, at least you all had it so cheap for the last few years. Try earning your salary in euros and then getting stung for a 230euro lift pass  Not to mention the 8euro beer or 50euro lunch in Courchevel
At lest your skiing this winter....ACL reconstruction surgery so no snow for a year!!!! Can I ask if anyone has any good early season pictures please keep posting them....clutching at straws here. :) |

Really cool resort.
Small enough town centre but great mountain with a huge number of runs. Nothing to hard either as a few of the black runs would be red/blue in other resorts. There is some very nice easy runs down to Oz En Oisans and Vaujany and the tunnel is just fantastic. I agree with the other posters about the Sarenne, its a wide steep run at the start and flat through the trees at the end but is well worth the effort as the views are great. Have been 3 times and would go back Enjoy Gar. :D |

Tony,
I bought a pair of previous season Atomic Izor skis from an American sports shop last year and made a huge saving compared to buying here (Ireland). About 6 months later I recived a bill for import duty from DHL for about 60Euros but even with this charge I reckon I saved about 250 euros. Lots of bargins on e bay too and with the weak dollar its even better. Gar. |

Try car hire 3000 as I have used them from Grenoble and they were fine.

Tony and Admin man are quiet right that you can really not be an expert unless you can ski anwhere in any conditions at any speed.
I like Tony have only skiied about 10 weeks or so and thought I was a great skiier as I had only skiied in good to perfect conditions. Then in April this year in heavy powder when I tried to keep up with my very fast snowboard mate I soon found out the truth. Torn ACL in right knee and no skiing for me untill winter 09 :( :( :( I think people will always have a better opinion of themselves as it is human nature to be a bit boastfull particuarly if you are really enjoying yourself. Pavel, Jan, Trencher and all the other regular posters are real experts as far as I can make out reading their posts the last 2 years or so. |
