Good snow in Alpe d'Huez?
Started by User in France, 8 Replies
Hi,
just back from a few days in Alpe d'Huez and there is about 50% of the piste open and some good runs particuarly high up.The black runs from the glacier are particularly good so I reckon you should get some good skiing next week.

regards.Gareth.

Thanks for the tips guys, the only problem we have is that we have already paid for our accommodition in Les Carroz. The best we can hope for is to try to drive to whatever resort that has snow.

Cheers.

Hi guys,
I am flying to Geneva on Wednesday 13th December and staying in Les Carroz for 5 nights. We were gonna ski in Flaine for 2 days then Les carroz for the next 2...BUT...Flaine is not opening on the 9th cos of a lack of snow.
So does anybody have any ideas where to go for snow.We have a car and I dont mind driving but I really have no idea where to go.

Thanks for any help..

I am going to Flaine next Wednesday13th so I will tell you all about it a few days later. The only thing is I dont really know if there is any snow there yet??? :?
Is there anyone out there who is going to chamonix between 26th Dec and 2nd Jan who would like to meet up and do a few runs.I am an intermediate skier and can ski reds and most blacks and would love to challenge myself a bit more, and the rest of my group would not really be up for it.

Cheers. :D
