Not sure about April but January was incredible this year. I'd imagine it might be good at altitude but not great at resort level.
I'd go higher at that time if year. |

I have found over the years that you tend to get what you pay for.
A good example is the Milky was week pass mentioned above, it was less than €200 a couple of years ago for a week compared to Three Valleys or Espace Killy which were about €300. I love skiing in Italy and have skied everywhere but the Dolomites so far but even I will admit that there are a lot of ski areas that could do with some more modern lifts. I'll happily manage a few slower older lifts and benefit from cheap and excellent food in Italy as a trade off. Horses for courses. |

Ha ha, that's ok...that Doug lad knows nothing obviously! |

I ski somewhere in Italy most seasons including this year but have never mentioned any problems with lifts? |

Cervinia is perfect for wide open relaxed skiing. I went there the year after a acl injury operation when I was nervous and it suited me perfectly.
It's high and snow sure with some excellent restaurants in the town and on the mountain. Not sure about the toilet situation but if I remember it was normal toilets. |

Many years ago I had a bad fall and banged my head so now I won't ski without one.
It may be great marketing but I've a wife and kids at home so safety is a must for me. |
