Sleazy jet prices not out yet, checked other cheap airlines and they are a bit pricey. I'm thinking about going by train and need some help with transfers.

:-)

Where are you trying to go from ? I'd be surprised if Easyjet prices not out for anytime this coming season - unless of course it's right at the end of the season your looking at and their flights may have stopped.

Be interesting to see what you find as I've been considering a short break here after chatting to afew folks with places there at the Metro snow show.

Sounds interesting, tell us more.....

The chair that takes you across the valley from Les Bergers to Auris runs horizontal at first straight under the airport runway before dropping like a rolercoaster into the valley.

Was that an independant booking or did you pick up an offer ? I'm looking for a short break or two in March.

Sarenne is only steep at the top, even then it's not that bad at all and after that the few awkward bits you also have an easy way round and the final section really is like a green BUT well worth doing. If you stop at the little bar/restuarant a km or so before the end (next to the 2 seat chair) you get a lovely log fire.

Now Tunel.... that's serious ...

Definetly recomend the resort, we'll be back in 2010.

Have been there in February the last 2 seasons, good variety of runs and the lift ques wern't to bad even though I was there at half term. Slight delay when ski school sets of am & pm, but if your up the mountain before that no worries. Be sure to get the the outlying areas to - well worth it.

We're taking a break this year, but already have a week back there in 2010 planned.

I may go actually :D Only for the weekend if the snow looks good and Zinal doesn't open which I don't think it will personally. I can't think it'll be busy and I'll call the TO for a bed on the Friday and hop on the train.

I'm off Wed/Thur and love the idea of hitting Zermatt, however it looks like thats when the snow/wind will hit it to. What do you think the chances are of getting any skiing in ? Or will I be sitting in the valley crying in my beer as I watch all the snow fall... but the lifts are closed.

Reminds me of the old Karimore Mountain Marathon when I was but a lad and my dad was a veteran - oh happy/wet/windblown/freezing days.
