I did the learn to ski in a day at Snowdome before heading of to Austria 3 seasons ago.
So glad i did, got the basiscs out the way there, practised a couple of times and then enjoyed 5 great days in ski school on the mountain rather than stuck for half it on the nursery slope. Have now done around 14 weeks over the last 3 years - but I still have a few hours private lesson at least every other break, just to improve technique and knock out any bad habits that are forming/coming back. Two people have droppped out of our group to La Tania from 3rd - 10th January so we have a couple, of spaces free if anyones interested in a cheap half bard week in the the three valleys - just the balance of £323pp to pay.
Could offer either a twin or double en-suite room depending on if your couple or just mates. This INCLUDES : Flights (Gatwick - Chamberey), transfers, en-suite accommodation, breakfast, afternoon tea & dinner with unlimited wine. The chalet also has it's own sauna. Chalet is ski in/out. We had taken the chalet of 14 for our excluisive use, so it would just be the 12 of us and whoever is mad enough to join us. Mixed age and ability group (from near beginner to advance/intermediate) and (we think) good company. Have a look at the chalet at : https://www.skibeat.co.uk/ski-beat-resorts-la-tania-chalets.asp?id=40 Just ask if you'd like any more details. Dave |

Skied there for a day last January (we were staying in Tonale and caught the free bus down to Mireleva), some nice runs and the scenery was spectacular - very different from one side of the valley to the other. Quite a few fast lifts, but also the odd slow bottleneck, probably not so much of a worry more of an inconvenience if your staying in the village, but when we had to get back over the link to catch the bus at Mireleva it did mean we curtailed our plans a bit to allow plnety of time to get back. Didn't really see any of the village as we spent all day on the piste.
Snow conditions were on the whole excellent - but we had just had a huge dump 48hrs before so I don't know if that's the norm. Would love to go back and ski the area again, but don't know if I'd want to do a full week. Dave |

Thanks for that Dave - I'll check it out before booking the other one as I'd rather try Niederau for skiing. Probably less of a drag from the airport to!
