what's it like in andorra?

Just found out that we skied the only sectors that were open. Apparently the sun is staying away until sunday, but at least that will be better for the drive to Reus. That is providing we can dig the car out! I will post some photos next week....you will wee yourselves. :)

Yes I meant most/heaviest!

My trip this week has been with a couple of friends who are relative novices but they have come on leaps and bounds in the deep powder. Snowed all day today and we were out in it for the duration. The lift over towards Grau Roig was closed so we stayed up over El Tarter/Soldeu. Knee deep powder that you could ski over, but as soon as you stopped....you sank! Could do with a nice sunny day tomorrow so they can get to see some of the scenery.

Been in Soldeu since Sunday. Two great days skiing, one good day, complete whiteout with all lifts closed today, similar conditions expected tomorrow and sun forecasted for saturday. The drive out of the country will be fun on sunday! The snow over the last 24 hours is the worst I have ever seen.

Are these blokes complete lunatics?

Clearly not, as they are the finest exponents of their art. Some of the gravity defying turns, at full speed, they put in this morning make for breathtaking viewing.

If you missed it, the highlights are on Eurosport tonight at 11.15pm.
Just in case anybody was thinking of filling the spaces.....you are too late. Me and two other guys snapped them up a few weeks ago. Steve was right, it worked out at about £430 each. We also have a potential 7th member who has booked the flights for £30, on the off chance that he can get the time off work!! If he does make it, the overall cost would come down below £400. Can't wait.

Hiring blades
Started by User in Ski Chatter
On his first ski trip, a friend of mine struggled with skis but finished his week on blades. While getting him back on skis would be ideal, he wants to start his week this year on blades. Can you hire them as standard from a ski hire shop in resort?
