My boots in Soldeu last year were the most comfortable I have ever hired. As it was March I enquired about buying them, but they would not even consider an offer!!
Directa1 is fine, big and wide, you will be fine.

Menera down into Grau Roig is wide too.

An easy red that you must do is Cami de Pessons where you can stop for lunch overlooking the frozen Lake Pessons. Gorgeous scenery.

LAKE PESSONS

Agree with Iceman on the time of the day, especially over the Soldeu side. There are some great reds, but in the afternoon and with the 'wrong' weather conditions some runs can get a bit lumpy. Our friends the boarders can accidentally form mini moguls which harden up in the shade and can be tricky if you are a bit tentative.

Off to Maria Alm for the first time in three weeks time. How is it looking? Any photos anyone?

Our group have been to Grandvilara for the last 3 years. We are going to Austria for the first time in a few weeks time but will definitely go back to Soldeu/Pas in the future.
This webcam is situated right outside of the Nordic. The 4-man lift is just to the left of this shot, the gondola is 200 metres to the right, and the run emerging around the bend is a routine blue.

best location for skiing in march

We have been to El Tarter/Soldeu for the last three years, and always the middle of March.

Conditions have been very good each year, with quality snow cover all the way down to the resorts.

This was taken from a bar in Soldeu when we had to get off of the mountain because of a snowstorm on March 17th 2011 (if I recall correctly).

This one near the top of the Gondola from El Tarter on March 20th 2010. We had a few beers and waited for it to stop.

This is what it's like the day after. :D :D :D

There was already masses of snow all over Grandvilara. It made for perfect conditions.
