A skier in a bar asks the big guy next to him 'do you want to hear a joke about snowboarders?', the big guy replies, 'before you do, you should know that I am a 6'2" snowboarder with a season pass, the guy next to me is 14 stone and sponsored by Burton. At least we have come to a consensus, AllyG, you need to up your skiing to at least 3 weeks a year ;)

I don't necessarily agree with you Tony, I have had lessons up to a level just above where I am at now (kinda gone backwards a little now but I think it has been made up for in confidence). As I have improved so has my enjoyment of skiing, intensive lessons now = a future of skiing at a high level.

Of course you could list off numerous incidents based on negligence (or whatever) but it is a pretty useless picture without giving some idea of the sheer amount of flights that go without incident each year, it is a tiny fraction and the chances of it happening to you must be close to nil.
