Some mountain huts offer secure ski areas, but as usual it's costs. Perhaps personalizing skis with your name or something else would discouage thieves. Bandit, take your point about buying & using a ski wire but its more stuff to carry around with you on the mountain.

See where your coming from Ally, once bitten and all that. Got to be honest I never gave any consideration to what would happen in the event of another banking crisis. I would say preordering your cash onto one of those post office style travellers debit cards would be the safest.

Well done. That was a great deal :D. I've just paid for our ski-ing lessons with my Visa card and I only got 1.075 euros to the pound, and the cheapest rate I can get in town for cash is from Thomsons and they were 1.065 on Friday.

Ally

Ally, they are currently offering a rate of 1.12 for January delivery & a 1.15 for February.
I ordered half cash & half in euro travellers cheques. I believe you don't pay commission on the euro TC when exchanging in resort.

Has anyone had skis or equipment stole when on the mountain, for example when taking a lunch break. How do you combat the potential threat from thieves? lets face it if thieves are stealing to order they will probably know all the tricks. Is there anything you can do or do you leave it down to chance.

deal around at the moment, just ordered mine in an effort to keep the overall cost of the holiday down.

Monies delivered today on time & everything in order. Can recommend TMS, very good service.
