Brilliant pics of a great skiing day. Have experience of climbing up Aladdins Couloir back in 2008 & I can tell you that the bottom short ice pitch next to the head wall is tricky to negotiate with crampons & ice axes never mind skis. The top pitch was lovely to climb through & can see why it makes for an obvious line to ski down, whole area can be prone to avalanche. Next time I visit Cairngorm Jacobs Ladder is on the list to climb.
Definitely got me thinking about reaching that level of skiing & mountain craft to be able to get down grade 1/2 gully's.

Yep, but they have got you by the short & curlys so you just pay up.

The other point of view is don't pay up and they will be forced to drop their prices

Ian, I agree with your point of view but who is really going to make a stance on their one week holiday. Like I said short & curlys unfortunately. :(

Excellent piece of research Bandit
Skiing on the Helvelyn range looks great, hoping to try out telemark skiing & improve off piste on holiday this year which would help tremendously for days out on Helvelyn massiff. Will definitely enquire about membership now that I have seen the video.

Good work on the soundtrack info caron.

Cant really go wrong with the Skiwelt, loads of snowmaking capacity & miles of piste. Absolutely love the place, will ski a few days there over Chrimbo.

Last year the Karrimor was back in Lakeland but got called off half way through the event because of worsening weather conditions. None of the athlete's I spoke to wanted to come off the mountain, they all wanted to finish the event. Another sign of our health & safety gone mad.
