I am a bit of a clothes snob, diesel jeans every time and a random array of tshirts/shirts from numerous different places.

Won't buy anything from Topshop (etc) because you just bump into folks all the time wearing the same thing you are

I like shopping when it is not my money 8)

I haven't set foot in Topshop since I was about 15, good reason not to if they sell 'tat' like polycotton ski suits to look hot on the slopes.

As for ski gear, it has to be some form of blue in colour (see avatar) and be North Face / Helly / Eider. One of which I got from TK Maxx for a bargain and has done the job for a few years.

Off slope I love Fat Face, but only if there's a sale on.

Comfort and style can be done on the slopes these days!

I was browsing through a 'fashion' magazine when I was out and about the other day and an article caught my eye about skiing, someone had written in asking how to look 'hot' on the slopes.

The advice given was to go to Topshop and buy an all in one (quote - which some 'boring' people might call a skisuit )for £150 made from Polycotton.

And people wander why they get cold and wet.

These square deals are great value, but if you end up somewhere rubbish, you cant really complain.

Hey Tony, dont forget Aufach lift is only 5 minutes bus ride from Oberau so even that would not have been a disaster. I go taxied most of the way from Salzburg to Oberau (bus to Sol and taxi rest of the way) for £204 half bord last month and its £2.90 a pint in oberau, £15 in Kitbuhel, LOL.
A group of Irish lads that got on our coach in Kitz had spent £2000 each in a week, they were gutted.

£2k in a week! Good lord.

Val d'isere is my favourite resort in the world (so far) and as costly as it is, when we were there a couple of years ago we discovered a great place to lunch that did barbecues in good weather for a reasonable price. I'll need to dig out a map to remind myself of what it's called (unless someone knows off the top of their head) if you want to know! :)

I did a season in Pra Loup many moons ago, I'd never heard of it until I arrived there. Small purpose built resort about an hour from Nice so can be rubbish snow being so far south, saying that the season I was there we had tons of the stuff.

Would go back but not at the top of my list.
