Not had a problem using contact lenses even at very low temperatures. I always carry a bottle of comfort drops to ease the drying effect of the wind. I think that so long as you wear sunglasses or goggles you'll be fine.

Just booked Mayrhofen for 13 - 20th March so we can now start finding a decent ski school. Thought TH might have had a suggestion?

We've been for the last two seasons (first week in Jan). No problems with snow. 2008 was a bit lacking below Bort station but this year there was snow down to town all week. Strangely though, over at Canadian Corner on the Lauberhorn run we noticed less snow this year than in 2008.
Given it's relatively low altitude Grindelwald can suffer low down but there's plenty of scope up at First and over towards Kleine Scheidegg. |

Looks almost certain that we're off to Mayrhofen in March. OH and I would like a couple of private lessons whilst we're there. Could the J2Ski Mayrhofen Massive recommend a suitable school / instructor pse?

Spent all my pennies at Southampton Boat Show and the worst hotel ever last weekend so I shall miss this one.

Currently on Series Link we have - Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers, Ax Men (New Series 23rd Sep) and Waking the Dead.
Agree Tony, something as 'simple' as crab fishing can be totally absorbing. Wife is so into it I had to get her a Cornelia Marie mug for Christmas last year. Cost me more for the post than the mug cost! |
