Just teasing, Em!
But a word for Andy ~ I maintain it is impossible to define "Best Resorts". For me it is Niederau and Arapahoe Basin. For Rustyinn, it is Zell am Zee, for you, your areas in France, for Rose, it is Ruka.
When I was younger, my ambition was to ski (and play guitar) with John Denver, in his home town of Aspen. Then he went and got dead. However, Aspen is on my horizon, along with another visit to Vail.
It is a passing mention that our family is looking after a lovely young lady from Colorado, who has relatives owning properties in the aforesaid two places.......!!!!!
Tim, you made it clear that you cannot afford a new pair of boots. I have been in exactly the same position, during my first season. I did an extreme thing, it cost nothing, and for me, it worked. trencher knows all about this.
I went under the bed, removed a carpet tile, traced around my feet, and cut out a pair of what became known in Niederau as "DaveMac" inner soles. I don't care. It worked. And, it wasn't until 20 years later, the Haus Frau took me to task about the carpet tile, (which I had put back in position, under the bed)
What to do in Innsbruck with 3 days?

You can ski Nordpark direct.
If you are on piste you shouldn't need guidance. Access to Klosters is easy, and there is the most pleasant easy run back, the Ersazt Standard.
Will be in the Bichlwirt same time! The Dorf is the wrong end of the village for us. See you for a run or two though! (If you are skiing on the 29th)

Dumping snow all day here in Hinterglemm. I had the pleasure of meeting up again with Rustyinn. I see evidence of new snow in Niederau, sowie alles ist in ordnung!
I think you are misreading OldAndy, Emma. He is one of nature's gentlemen, and hence does not slag off other resorts.
Where in Whistler?

To add to P2C. For our group, I rented a minibus and driver from the airport info desk, for not much more than the total bus fares. We took the bus on the return journey.
There is a skibus runs round Whistler and Blackcomb.
You can easily rent a condo online ~ route through one of the main condo websites. They all pretty much all very well equipped, and good value. You can see the location on-line.
Steady folks. The runs are all perfectly skiable as they are. They will get even better, and by the time we drive up there on Friday, conditions should be perfect!
We skied over to Leogang today, man that was good stuff.
