Well hopefully it will be warmer rain than last summer - 2 weeks of rain every single sodding day. Plus a sick husband, projectile vomiting by a 9 year old, a tired perma-soggy dog that went off his food and general misery. The joys of camping.

Why exactly am I excited?

Well I suppose it is the middle of June, I see there are still a few die-hards on here. I can't help but think about skiing all the time and am already excited about a trip I a) haven't got the money for yet and b) don't know where it will be to.

Hello people, I've not been on here for a few months (since the snow melted in most of Europe anyway) as I was feeling a bit depressed about the lack of skiing available for the coming months.

So, now the sun is shining (kind of) and the early bird brochures are around I've started to get excited again! Thinking of driving, possibly to Obergurgl or Val Disere, been to Val before and found a bargain EB holiday which we may well book, alternatively, looking at Obergurgl - anyone been? Any good accommodation recommendations?

If you tell them you used to work for them they'll give you a 10% discount too. I worked for them years ago and they offered me a discount even though my name has changed since then and they didn't even question me.

Hi C, glad you had a good safe ski - did you make it to the barbecue at the bottom of Madelaine?

That's currently falling as rain across many parts here right now I believe.
