if this is the type of holiday you like then I'd say Niederau is not for you although, from what Tony's said in the past, if you've got a car then there's plenty of places to go if you base yourself there. We have used Niederau as a base for years now, we take full advantage of the Kitzbuler Alpen Topskipass. The lift pass allows you to ski in Waiding, St Jakob, Fieberbrum, Kirchdorf, St Johann, Kitzbuhel region, all of the Skiwelt, Wildschonau(Niederau), Alpbachtal region which in total has 704km of trails of which 500km are coverred by snow cannons & 245 lifts. You need a car to take advantage of the above as it is not interlinked which brings me to my point, a lot a ski resorts in Austria are small & offer only on average 40km of skiing. I think it is for this reason why the Kitzbuler Alpen lift pass exists, I think it is excellent value 270 euro for 10 day lift pass. Selecting the right resort is never easy but if you do the independant traveller route you do have a lot more options. Finn |

Does anyone know or is it one for admin to answer.
Why are some of the embedded clips being disabled by youtube, is it a copyright thing. Can you tell before embedding the clip if it is okay to do so. Thanks Finn |

It makes good sense to invest in the snowmaking especially after the huge invest made to build the funicular. Look forward to seeing the results from testing. Finn |
