Is it me?

Is it me or is this forum alot quieter this season. There are the normal 'regular reporters' but on the whole the news and reviews about the resorts is very QT!
I have to say I have found over the last couple of years the comments about Mayrhofen and Soll for instance very helpfull prior to arriving in relation where to or sometimes where not to ski or drink etc. I hope I have returned the favours in relation to comments i have added.
Pre warned is pre armed as they say!

Yes there is, and there are plenty of ski/boot facilitiy options up by the gondollas although some of our group who had their own skis preferred to take them back to the hotel. When you finish off the day you can ski/pole it to within 400 meteres of hotel!

There is alot of good info some of it repeated on a Soll 2010 thred which I will bounce back up for you 2 see.

You'll love it at the Postwirt, was with a group there back at the end of January!! Keep an eye for a 2 piece band called 'Frog on the Tyne'. They are good entertainment and play at various bars in Soll.
I think it should be noted that 3 years ago was the mildest winter in Austria for about 45 years. Freak year. I was in Schladming it was then you realised the benefit of the area having 600+ snow cannons. Green hills surrounding you but the pistes were fantastic.
Have skied in relatively low Austrian resorts 7 times in the last 5 years and never had any problem with the lack of snow, even the weird year 3 winters ago when everything but the pistes was green. Was in Soll at the end of January. Was very good and would go again.
Went and and saw CEM, he was very thorough and did his best and yes it cost me a quid or two but at the time he did say that he felt that my problem stemmed from a severe lack of flexability in my ankles which then puts incredible pressure on the underside of my toes or something like that.
Result was that even with new footbeds and other minor adaptions and efforts to expand the flaxability of my ankle it made no difference! After 3-4 hours the 'horror' pain returned. Never mind got used to the fact that at any given moment I whip the boot off and start again. Excellent week in Soll was had.
If you have problem feet, I would even though it didnt help me recommend CEM as it will not be through lack of trying or knowledge that your 'problems' will not be rectified.
