Hi, Maiden107

What was it like in Montalbert?

Did you manage to ski to les Arc's?
How long did it take you to get there?
Any info gladly received.

Hi, Maiden107

I have read somewhere that it takes about 1 and half hours to ski from Montalbert to Les arcs and obviously the same back again.

Hi, Tony H

Checked with Hubby and he said our ski's were checked in, at a different desk to our luggage.

All the checking desks are in a line, the ski check in desk was nearest the entrance.

Our checking at Grenoble was a bit of a blurr as we were in a huge trafic jam getting to the airport and were thinking we would miss the flight. Luckly we didnt and we started to relax once we got rid of the luggage and started to go through passport control.

Hi, Tony H

Our ski's came out on the same carousel as our luggage in Feb this year.
I think we also checked them in with the luggage but not 100% sure.

Stayed here a few years ago and had a good holiday.

I disagree with what was on Tripadviser.

The outside of the Hotel doesn't look very nice. I always thought it looked like a prison camp but inside totally different, mostly marble.
Very quite eventhough surrounded by the lifts.

It was one of the best hotels we have stayed at.
Food good, staff very pleasant and helpful. As you are stuck in the hotel once the lifts close , they had an entertainment officer (spanish guy) who orginised entertainment every night. Table tennis , darts, disco etc, not the usual thing we do but a lot of fun. Mainly dutch in the hotel with only a few English.
There was a last cable car that went back up to the hotel at 7.30pm every night if you wanted to have a look in town.
Hotel gave free lift passes as it was owned by the lift company.
Really good that you get to be one of the first people on the slopes before the cablecar and gondola bring everyone up to Plan Maison.
