Our daughter was three years and 8 months old but we taught her ourselves just to see if she liked it.
We then put her in ski school just for a morning sessions the following year. You will need to see if the ski hire shops have ski boots and ski's to fit your little one at that age. My daughter has only tiny feet and there was none that was small enough to fit until she was three. If you do manage to kit your little one out, I would reccomend that you teach them yourself. Just get the little one standing on ski's and pull them along. If they get on alright then you can just let them glide and have fun on a fairly flat slope. |

Hi all
I will be flying into Grenoble Airport with Easyjet with a 6 month old baby. I was wondering how baby friendly this airport is. I will be taking a lightweight buggy to push him around the airport. I was hoping if someone could tell me if the airport is on one level or more and how far the gates are to the departure / arrival areas. Skisuit |

Thanks for your replies
AutoEurope was the first company we tried as we used them this year when we flew into Geneva. Its through them that I first realised that we had a problem booking a hire car from Grenoble airport on a Saturday. So far Europcar is the only company we have found(even using broker firms) that we can hire a car from. We would need a car at 15:15 and drop it back the following week at about 11.30. Even Europcar is closed when we would drop the car back but they do have a drop in box for returning cars out of hours. I think we will probably go for a private transfer bus just to be on the safe side but waiting for everyone in our party to decide. Skisuit |

They are 11 of us flying into Grenoble Airport in half term week with Easyjet and will need a car hire or transfer to Oz en Oisans (Linked to Alp d'huez).
Does anyone know of a hire company that is open on a Saturday afternoon as most of the companys are closed. (Avis, Hertz, Alamo). The only one so far we have found open is Europcar. We have a quote from Bens buses for a transfer which is good, although we would have to transfer to a minibus for the last bit of the journey. The return bus would get us back to the Airport just 2 hours before our flight which might be cutting it fine if there is traffic jam. Has anyone got any experience with ACTIBUS? |

Hi all
Has anyone heard of group leader insurance, Is it necessary?. I heard from someone that they takeout insurance incase someone in there party cancels their booking, leaving the group leader (person who books the holiday)liable for the costs. Surely if each person has their own holiday insurance this is enough? I have searched the web and found nothing about this. |
