I heard of similar by SkiWorld from Val d'isere. Thumbs up to the tour ops for just dealing with the situation ! [i don't work for one, in case you ask !]

The quality looks excellent. A comment though.. that sticks up a fair bit above the helmet.. what's the risk of damage ? A friend skii'd with me a couple of seasons ago and had something more like a pencil camera linked to a recorder (Archos I think) in his pocket. This seemed much less obtrusive, but of not the same quality. Does anyone know if you can get a similar arrangement in HD ?

AllyG, It's what I've been led to believe too. I have used ordinary powder occasionally (but wouldn't say it shifted the stains particularly...so am thinking I'll give the Peter Storm stuff a shot)..but generally re-proof after a wash [nothing worse than soggy salopettes on a slushy day]. I use the tumble drier when the clothing is nearly dry to give the insulation a bit of volume and make sure it's 100% dry before stuffing it in a case in the loft.
please note - I wrote this before AllyG's edit ! I think you've covered it AG :-) |

oh one tip.... close the velcro fastners before machine washing/tumble drying..they have a nasty habit of ripping the lining..
