Alright, so i've been looking around for a helmet cam for a while now and have stumbled across some rather nice, shiny HD helmet cams.

One in particular, the GoPro Hero HD Helmet Camera

Does anyone on this forum own this camera? Can they give any opinions/reviews of it?
It's costing £300 - But to be honest, i'd pay such money for the quality this camera records;

(I would embed the video, but you can't view in HD that way)

I'm literally stunned by this quality and find myself aiming for this as my next buy!
Not only can you use it as a helmet cam, you can mount it using different types and styles of mounts for bikes, cars and even just every day camera use.

So, anybody any thoughts? :)

The quality looks excellent. A comment though.. that sticks up a fair bit above the helmet.. what's the risk of damage ? A friend skii'd with me a couple of seasons ago and had something more like a pencil camera linked to a recorder (Archos I think) in his pocket. This seemed much less obtrusive, but of not the same quality. Does anyone know if you can get a similar arrangement in HD ?

Countour HD and the VIO 1.5. Not sure about availability on the VIO on the UK but the GoPro still has by far the best quality. You can mount it on the side of your helmet or get a chest strap for it. There are plenty options.
