I use a Panasonic Lumax. My previous camera was also a Lumax. I use the camera a lot in the Alps, for general snowscapes, action shots, back-up for my watercolours, and action videos.
I have used it at -25deg. The main issue for me was the battery life in extreme cold. However, fully charged, it lasts for the whole day at way below temps, and for a week at zero deg. You can see the video qual at www on my profile. On the two vids I took myself, I held the camera in one hand, with both sticks in the other hand. For your situation, maybe you might email Sony or your supplier, and discuss. If there is an issue, they may offer you a deal to replace. |

Without being too controversial to our less gifted friends, (Tino excepted), what about those boarders who make a turn, sideslip ten feet, think about making a second turn, and then sideslip another ten feet.
All good conditions for ice-making........ |

Poetry and skiing go well together, they are life brothers. For many years, I only thought to paint alpine views and to ski.
Then I met a man who used to write and sing in Fairport Convention. He encouraged me to do some more songwriting. But I only write about skiing and the mountains. So I enlisted some help from J2skiers, and a song was born. There are so many aspects to our skiing and mountain lives. My first song, "Young Eagles" covered the transition from being a full time skier, having a family, who then became skiers. I used an idea fron an Eagles song to do this. The current project, "To see the little children ski", is based on a memory from my first season. A two year old was coming straight down the slope on skis, no sticks, arms out wide, grey knitted jacket, and his woolly hat firmly down, over his eyes. |

In this case Tony, the lady is calling the shots. Ski seasons don't come at the price I used to pay! |

Much respect for that FQ. That is just about the worst ski report I have read, what a bummer. I do agree about the food, but I have had worse in France. The lift system was old. I guess I just took account of the country emerging from Soviet control. I thought the locals were engaging, (but not in the way your guys were engaged!)
The snow conditions and runs were pretty good for us, and the ski school was as good as most Euro places. |

The OP is asking for the most snowsure resort at Christmas. Having skiied there a couple of days after Christmas, I find Stubai is a slightly surprising suggestion. I wonder what is the evidence?

Don't dump the boyfriend. He is a cost reducer. Also a boot cleaner, cook, will wax and carry your skis. He will keep you safe in the night clubs. There is no downside.
Go through Natives. |
