Hi everyone, im new to this forum but wondering if anyone could give me some advise. Im looking to do a season this winter but my boyfriend is wanting to go too, however he is Australian and only has a UK working visa so it seems impossible for him to get work in France etc...does anyone know a way to get around this without going back to Oz or is 'black' work easy to find?!
Hope someone can help :)
Thanks,
Louise

Welcome to J2ski :D Maybe if you both worked for a UK Tour Op which runs Chalets/Hotels in resort you'd get around this problem. You'd be working for a UK employer.
Natives is the best place for info. Get fixed up soon, recruitment is already under way.

I'm with Bandit on this.
Loads of colonials in the alps working legally this way.
Mind you - Tony's suggestion may be simpler ....

Dumping the boyfriend would give you a lot more scope, although it should be possible for him to get a job here if he has the right skills. http://www.ch.ch/schweiz/00157/00174/index.html?lang=en
There are lots of jobs going in Zermatt and Saas Fee at the moment http://gemeinde.zermatt.ch/news/jobs/ http://www.saas-fee.ch/de/page.cfm/footer/jobs-saastal/jobs-saas-fee

Don't dump the boyfriend. He is a cost reducer. Also a boot cleaner, cook, will wax and carry your skis. He will keep you safe in the night clubs. There is no downside.
Go through Natives.

Not many like that around Dave. I don't clean my wifes boots, shes the cook, I pay for skis to be waxed, she carries her own, and if I went to a nightclub none of the ladies would be safe ;-)
