Chamonix vs Clusaz for travelling with toddler

Hi there!
Anyone have experience travelling with a young one (< 3 years) to either Chamonix or Clusaz? We are looking for a good mix of accessibility (no car required, minimal transport required) to easy walks in the snow, cross-country trails, as well as sufficient "rainy day" / "non-skiing" activities for an infant. We would also prefer more of a traditional/charming village feel than a big town which I know Chamonix is, but obviously this preference conflicts with the other needs, so wonder if anyone has experience of both! I should mention that neither of us does alpine skiing, so we would only plan to do cross-country skiing while the little one is in a creche. Also open to any other suggestions that are within approximately 1-1.5 hours from Geneva airport by shuttle/public transport! Thanks, David |
