I have been thinking about this for a while, and would like to throw another thought into the mix...

Global warming! In recent years I have seen a rise in softer snow conditions in resorts, as they suffer from unexpected warm snaps. Usually the pisteurs leave snow alone when it gets warm (at least they always have whenever I have been the victim of it :( ) and as a result, there seems to be a growth on soft slushy moguls on the pistes. Generally, those who deem themselves to be high intermediate skieers after just two weeks of skiing over the past few years, then seem to have huge problems dealing with said conditions, and I have seen many people carried off the mountain with leg injuries as a result.
We got a lock in at a bar in Banff one night due to a Moose outside. The bar was closing, but as we left, this huge beastie was just outside the door, so the barman informed us it was his duty to keep us in the bar and keep pouring the beer, while the local police came down and shooed the moose away.

We saw many of them in the 10 days we were out there, but sadly only the one at closing time :(
Thanks for the good wishes Baldie, hope your trip goes well too and everyone comes back safe and well. 20 hours till my departure, really looking forward to it now!

Adders, will try to get some posted, but for some reason I keep forgetting to stop and actually take any pictures in the last few years. I am wondering if it is an age thing! :o

Bad luck (or not!) Stu28, the 6th is when our two and second weekers all come home, so you will miss us all. Have a good time though.

Best report yet! :)
Is there ANY advantage to hiring anything but economy skis?

Nice post KLS, and I think this demonstrates exactly why it is good to try different skis.

To me the Head is an OK ski, but for piste perfection I prefer the Volkl Racetiger GS.

Now the only way either of us can know what ski we prefer, is to get on to different skis and ski the heck out of them until we arrive at our own preference.

It may be that you prefer the type of ski you currently use, but I seriously suspect that you will find a whole new world once you start to try new skis.
Have you been on the curry again Bald-eagleman, you have started repeating once more! :)

Surely an earphone/microphone combo would be the way to do this, with the phone safely in your pocket.
