What is the latest? How is your range of motion going? Hope have got knee back to straight?

Hello, I've been really poorly as well as knackered knee but on the mend. I dragged myself to my appointment on Wednesday and was told that they were 95% sure I won't need an operation which is great news, leg still not straight, it's stuck due to the amount of bruising and swelling still in there, my brace has been adjusted so can walk better and bend knee more, I've got 4 weeks of intense physio and another appt with consultant in 4 weeks.

Hopefully I will be on my way to being back to normal again and have a straight leg by then and hope they don't decided I DO need surgery.

So getting there :)

Good luck with the physio Ranchero, once I've seen the consultant next week I'll know what's going on and if I need surgery, I've decided that once I'm mended I'll do a couple of days at Milton Keynes or wherever to see how my confidence is and how it feels, obviously not until I've been given the green light as you say!

Dids1 wrote:Hi,
My sister did a very similar injury at the end of January.
3 rd run, 1 st day, ski didn't release.

Has hospital appointment tomorrow, so will know a little more possibly.
Sounds like she is at about the same stage too.
Bad back from limping. Pain in injured knee still.
She was told in Morzine that she defintely wouldn't ski for a year.

She has my sympathy! It sucks.

I've got some exercises from physio to do for now until they decide if I need an op and I'm doing those religiously 3 times a day so that should keep me going until I see the surgeon. Thank you though, I will get my bike out eventually :)

Do you mean once I'm mended? The thought of even trying to get on a bike makes me wince.

I can't straighten or bend my knee without using my hands to do it, and that hurts!

I've definitely been doing that, my back and butt ache all the time, plus my other knee which was only slightly damaged in the accident is now hurting more, so the brace I originally had on my left knee is now on my right knee!
