Anyone have any advice and or costs on getting to Les Gets in Half Term (february) by train? We are a group and some will be driving on Friday and my partner (a teacher!) can't leave until Saturday am.
It doesn't look as if we can book for a few weeks yet. |

Sorry to hop on the thread. But I am thinking about Flaine the first week of the Easter holidays which is first week of April. Am I correct in thinking that snow should be pretty much nailed on?

Thanks for the great reply. I learned a lot from your post. It's looking more and more likely that this will be our destination this half term. We normally stay at Les Gets so will be able to pop over using our free Portes de Soleil lift pass!

No idea about the roads on the Sunday. We always arrive Saturday about 1pm and leave on the Saturday too.

I am also looking for an answer to this Bongo as we are looking to go Feb Half Term to. If it's any help we do this trip avery feb half term. The roads on the Friday are generally very good. We normally stop around Troyes. However the roads on the Saturday will be hell. Get up early and beat the rush!

Thanks Dids. We are going in February half term, which is why EVERYWHERE is booked! After 2 hours searching today though I found somewhere with rooms. Not perfect, but it's a bed for the night.
Just reserved our hire ski's and gear so we are all set to go! Bring It ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Thanks Goff
The Dole ones (Etap and Ibis) are where we normally stay. They are all booked. I have search on the accor hotel website (Ibis, Etap and F1) and cannot find ANYTHING around Dole, Bourg en Brasse, Macon or even Dijon. Have also tried Campanile. Does anybody know of a private (not group) hotel that I might be able to get? |
