This is sounding better all the time

I have this sneaky feeling I am going to fall in love with Austria, and wish I had gone there years ago. Thanks for the info guys.

But isn't Norfolk flat? The Norwich dry ski slope must be for cross country skiers!

Men do Lake Louise first on the 23-27 November, then move on to Beaver Creek from the 30 November.

The women go to Aspen 26/27 November, then Lake Louise from the 29 November.

Hi Dave, we did toy with the idea of going out a week earlier, but some people had work issues and as we want to do the streif ourselves, we decided the week after would be more suitable for the bulk of the group.

Interestingly, last year I was on the Lauberhorn the week after the mens downhill, perhaps we are going to start a trend with our group holidays

 I was in Val a few years ago when Bode won the combined (all the others were cancelled). The atmosphere was fantastic.

On a slightly different note, the slalom in Levi has now been cancelled/postponed due to it being too warm to even make any snow, let alone have any natural stuff on the piste. Have to wait till Nth America now for our next fix of World Cup action.

Hi Geo, can't really help with the question, as I too am going to Kitzbuhel early in Feb, and it is also my first visit to Austria.

I am massively looking forward to it, as there are so many positive comments on this forum about Austria in general, and I cannot think of any reason why we have never actually been there in the past.

Personally I will just go with the flow and try to explore the area fully during the time I have there and will enjoy every minute of it :)

I'm going on the 4th Feb, when are you thinking of going? Don't forget the week after that is the UK half term, so likely to be dearer and busier.
