As a matter of interest, BB, where did you go to for the winter tyres?
Recommend a ski hire company pls?

bandit wrote:Snowbrainer and other online agents, are not ski shops. They will use the same village ski shop as everyone else. I agree that lots of ski shops don't keep up with good practice standards.
For example, I questioned my DIN in a ski shop after a binding mount, and it was seen as a challenge to their "professionalism" (how dare you). After getting the Boss to re enter the figures on their computer, my DIN setting came down from 7 to 5.

Eeh lass, I'd have liked to have been a fly on the wall for that one!

I have hired through j2ski/Skiset for several seasons. Never had a bad ski or service. It is a good point that Bandit makes, as a cross check, everyone should know their approximate DIN no, (it may vary with bindings, but only by a half)
Jesus....i'm dying.

Apart from a man's drink like whiskey. Southern Jessie with your sparkles!

Icy, you are a proper drinker! What flavours? I prefer the peaty malts such as Talisker. Perfect with the Angels tear.
Ally, you are a star. For a number of years, there has been an effort to organise a J2ski meet up. They have failed because nobody put a proper process in place. You instigated a good stage process, took the stage decisions, and received a positive result from J2skiers.

Even then, there were a few initial detractors, (always the same people who are negative) But your enthusiasm has caught the imagination of J2skiers, so WELL DONE!

Your attention to detail is tops, and you respond to all queries.

I have tried really hard to join up with you, but I could have only managed one day, and I could not find a reasonable way to get from Tignes to Tirol, at the end of a ski day.

So I wish your trip well, really well. I think you have some great characters along with you. Just tell them to behave, and I'm sure they will fall into line.......

Ski well.
Too soon?!!!

Cairngorm has been skied for 35 consecutive months, and that is likely to go up to to 42 months.......
If you can easily fly to Innsbruck, catch the 15 min bus into the town. The Gondala goes from the town direct up to Nordkette. Steep! Good places to stay in Innsbruck, and a beautiful old town, steeped in Tirol history.
